Afternoon all,

I was hoping someone could suggest what I can do or how to solve my problems running powershell cmdlets from my Win 7 Pro desktop machine to retrieve number of users, for each database or each server?  Unfortunately our migration to BPOS was from exchange 2003 directly to exchange 2010, so I dont have the exchange 2007 exchange admin tools loaded, nor do I have access to install exchange 2010 admin tools.  I am pretty sure the scripts I have work, but I dont have: "pssnapinMicrosoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.admin" which is unable to include in some of the Powershell script editors available.  Is there certain DLLs that I can somehow get and place them in a location on my workstation or how would I solve this issue?  Also is there a MS Exchange 2010 Admin tool app available online that I can download and install?  I've been looking for one, but with everything else that's been happening I may have just missed seeing them.  Any help would greatly be appreciated, and I promise to help anyone that is struggling especially if they are also dealing with the BPOS enviroment as I am...

Thanks,

j0seg

I assume you have some permissions on the environment you have migrated to.

In which case you should be able to use a powershell session to import the Exchange cmdlets to the local machine.

Unless you can connect to an Exchange server having the tools installed on your PC is of no use as for 2010 they automatically connect to an Exchange server.

I suggest you look at this blog post about sessions.
