Idera Partners with Dr. Tobias Weltner to Deliver Powerful Interactive Scripting Environment for Windows PowerShell

HOUSTON - August 25, 2008 - Today, Idera announced its entry into the PowerShell tools market with PowerShellPlus Professional Edition ™, a powerful interactive scripting environment for Windows PowerShell, Microsoft's command line shell and scripting language. Idera, a leading provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft Windows, has partnered with well-known Windows PowerShell authority and Microsoft MVP, Dr. Tobias Weltner, to develop PowerShellPlus Professional Edition. PowerShellPlus Professional Edition is currently available as a free public beta test release and can be downloaded on the Idera web site, www.idera.com.

Intended for use by Windows systems administrators, IT professionals and developers, PowerShellPlus makes it easy to learn and master PowerShell as well as develop PowerShell scripts with greater speed and accuracy. Based on PowerShellIDE, the first PowerShell console to offer a rich graphical user interface, PowerShellPlus provides:

• Interactive PowerShell Console - Enables ad-hoc execution of PowerShell commands and easy scripting with IntelliSense style code completion.
• Comprehensive Learning and Help Center - Offers beginner and advanced users a complete interactive learning center for Windows PowerShell and PowerShellPlus.

Pricing and availability
The free public beta is open now through September 25, 2008. The production version of PowerShellPlus Professional Edition will be available beginning September 25, 2008 and will be priced at $145 per user. Beta program participants will be able to purchase the product during the beta period for a discounted price of $79 per user. Existing users of PowerShellPlus with commercial licenses will be eligible for a free upgrade to the new version.
